Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour stressed Iran's role in the establishment of peace and security in the region, and said Beirut is eager to develop bilateral relations with Iran in all fields. The Lebanese foreign minister said Iran favors the "establishment of peace and security" in the region and is against any foreign intervention in the internal affairs of other states. "Iran wants the establishment of peace and security in the region and to distance nations from the intervention and domination of foreign countries," Adnan Mansour said.
Mansour told the Islamic republic news agency that Beirut is eager to "expand relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in all fields." The Lebanese top diplomats stressed that Iran plays "a balanced role" in regional developments. Mansour also said he would attend the Global Fight against Terrorism Summit in the Iranian capital of Tehran. The summit will be held on June 25 and June 26 with the aim of increasing international convergence and cooperation on fighting terrorism. Officials from 80 countries as well as regional and international organizations will take part in the two-day conference.
