Maulana Sayed Moinuddin Ashraf, a prominent Alim informed media that Muslims were protesting against Israel's unfair behaviour towards Muslims."Al-Aqsa is an important holy site of Muslims. It has become a hub of Israeli aggression. They have occupied our Qiblah. We want it freed from Israelis. That is why we are protesting," said Maulana Ashraf.Protestors stamped on the flags of America and Israel on Thursday to express their anger.Maulana Ashraf said the US government was being involved in all nefarious activities of 'Israel', and described Washington as an enemy of Muslims and Islam.Protestors appealed to the central government to close the Israel consulate in India.On an earlier occasion the Zionist regiome tried to build a bridge at the Al-Aqsa four years ago, which sparked off protests throughout the Muslim world and led to calls for launching a third Intifada against Tel Aviv.
