Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Wednesday stressed that the Syrian people are victim of a violent colonial policy, asserting that he will assess the Iranian proposal on the inclusion of Venezuela in the ‘Contact Group' to solve the crisis in Syria.Agence France-Presse (AFP) quoted President Chavez as saying in a press conference, "We will study the Iranian proposal and see how can we contribute to reaching a solution to the crisis in Syria."
