ZIONIST FRUITCAKE HARIRI to "Le Monde": "On Syria, we expect more from Paris"
http://www.14march.org/news-details.php?nid=Mzk4ODYw
-How to intervene? Militarily, diplomatically?
Diplomacy has not succeeded. Blood flows every day more and more. Intervention is required.
-Who can help the Syrian opposition?
France has a very important role to play. It made very strong statements from the beginning of the revolution. If it heads of the coalition allies of the Syrian people, it will play in the future a major role in the region. Today, there is a debate on safe zones, which it's said, cannot be done without the consent of the UN. If France encourages its allies to give the Syrian opposition what it needs, this opposition may establish itself the safe areas. It would be a win-win situation for France.
-The war in Syria looks more and more like a regional conflagration. Will Syria be the Lebanon twenty-first century, a battle ground by proxy?
Syria is much larger than Lebanon. Nobody has an interest in a civil war in Syria, except maybe Iran, which wants an instable Syria- like Iraq - in order to keep its influence there. If the Syrian regime falls, iranian influence in the region will decrease.
-Won't the civil war in Syria benefit the Islamists?
-Do you trust the Syrian opposition?
For forty years, this regime killed or jailed all opponents. Taking advantage of the Arab Spring, people revolted and an opposition began to emerge in Syria. It is not perfect, this is normal. But when there are errors, the Free Syrian Army has the courage to condemn them.
-What do you think of the action of François Hollande in the Middle East?
Regarding the Franco-Lebanese relations the continuity is primordial. François Hollande met with Michel Suleiman (the Lebanese President). He reaffirmed the commitment of Paris to the sovereignty and integrity of Lebanon. On the Syrian track, the French president's positions are clear, but we expect more from Paris. It is in the interest of France to take not only positions, but also actions.
