Spain is interested in participating in the South American Defense Council of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR).The intention was expressed by the Minister of Defence of Spain, Pedro Morenés, during a meeting with his Peruvian counterpart, Pedro Cateriano, visiting Madrid.Morenés  told the minister Cateriano the interest of his country in search for the mechanism to Spain's participation in the South American Defense Council of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR)," said an official in Lima.
