Ahmadinejad, Chavez Condemn Military Actions of Bullying Powers http://english.farsnews.com/newstext.php?nn=9001290652

Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Venezuelan counterpart Hugo Chavez in a phone conversation on Monday condemned the militaristic policies and aggressions of the bullying powers, and stressed the need for the formation of global partnership and cooperation to establish peace and security in the world.During the phone talk, Ahmadinejad underlined that the US and its European allies are merely seeking to attain their own interests, and asked for the start of an independent international movement to resolve the existing problems through talks and negotiations. He further cautioned that Americans are after new plans to solve their own problems and expand and reinvigorate their hegemony over the region and the globe. "They resorted to invasion under the pretext of the September 11 incident in a bid to loot the resources of the regional countries and to dominate the region, but they failed.

"No doubt, they will experience a heavy defeat due to the smartness and vigilance and empathy of independent and freedom-seeking nations once again and there is no chance of success for imperialism and its European allies." "We oppose intervention of the NATO and the US in the other countries' affairs, and we believe that continuation of the existing conditions in Libya will merely serve the interests of the West and will harm this country and its people," Ahmadinejad continued.

"The Iranian nation along with the independent nations of the world invites all the world to peace and settlement of problems through talks and dialogue," the president reiterated. Chavez, for his part, criticized certain countries' support for Libya invasion and military action against the Libyan people, saying, "These countries should know that if they keep silent on the United States' aggressive moves or support them, they may be entangled in the same situation to be imposed on them by the hegemonic power." He further laid emphasis on global condemnation of the aggressive moves carried out by the Imperialism (the US), and also stressed the need for collective cooperation in the establishment of peace and stability in the world."Imperialism is seeking to intensify crisis in oil producing countries," the Venezuelan president underlined, and further reiterated the need for global vigilance against the plots hatched by the US and its allies.
