A senior member of the Iranian parliament on Monday voiced deep suspicion in the 9-month deadline announced by the Iraqi government for the expulsion of the terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) from the country. "When apprehension and expulsion of the Hypocrites (as MKO members are called by Iranians) takes only a few days, giving them such a lengthy deadline causes doubt and suspicion and indicates the US, the Zionist regime and EU's support for this terrorist grouplet," Chairman of the Iranian parliament's Cultural Commission Javad Aryan-Manesh told FNA today. 

He further reminded MKO's black record and questioned the West's support for such a terrorist group. "The MKO has done nothing in the post-revolution era in Iran but assassinating the Iranians and serving the aliens." Meanwhile, the legislator noted the good relations between the Iranian and Iraqi governments and nations, and said, "The Iraqi government can show its might, sovereignty and power and deal with the terrorist group and try its members for their terrorist actions." 

He also underlined that international bodies should take action and start trial of the MKO members at a tribunal, instead of extending overt support to the terrorist group. Yesterday, the Baghdad government assured Iranian officials and people that it is determined to expel the MKO from Iraq by the end of 2011.  "Expulsion of the MKO from Iraq's soil and termination of its presence which has lasted for several years is a definite decision," Iraqi Government Spokesman Ali Al-Dabbaq told FNA, adding, "The MKO will be expelled from Iraq by the end of the current year." "The only option for the members of the MKO is leaving Iraq and they have no other choice," he reiterated.
