UNIFIL DENIES PLANE CROSSED LEBANESE AIRSPACE TOWARDS OCCUPIED PALESTINE
The UN peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon has denied knowing or spotting a reconnaissance aircraft flying from Lebanon towards occupied Palestine."UNIFIL, which monitors airspace as part of its mandate and deployed on land and in sea, has no information about this," Andrea Tennetti, spokesman of the UN Interim Force in Southern Lebanon, said in a statement on Monday.Israel announced on Sunday that a reconnaissance plane violated Israeli southern airspace from the Gaza Strip. Israel said the plane entered the airspace from sea and was gunned down later.
