On Thursday, security forces arrested eight terrorists in connection with a terrorist attack that occurred in the southwestern city of Ahvaz, capital of Khuzestan Province, on April 15.These people were affiliated with the Khalq-e Arab terrorist group and were arrested in a joint operation by police and intelligence forces, Khuzestan deputy police chief Abdullah Nazarpour announced on Thursday.On April 15, two unidentified gunmen riding motorcycles opened fire at a security checkpoint in Ahvaz, killing a police officer and a passerby.Two police officers and a civilian were also injured in the terrorist incident.
