“It is interesting” that some self-styled progressives have decided to support an Obama war “that just happens to be against black people,” says former Georgia congresswoman and Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney. “Libya is in Africa, and Libyans are black, too.” McKinney has led several delegations to Libya in recent years.

Haiti Election is Not a Popular Mandate

Although Michel “Sweet Mickey” Martelly, the bawdy nightclub entertainer who socialized with death squad members, garnered 67 percent of the vote in Haiti’s recent elections, this did not represent a mandate from the people, says Dan Beeton, of the Center for Economic and Policy Research. The plaintiffs charge Wal-Mart with discriminating against over a million female employees. Featherstone says, “The real question is: Can you, in legal terms, address institutionalized racism or sexism?”

President Obama became a nuclear power enthusiast under the influence of former White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel and political adviser David Axelrod, says Karl Grossman, author and professor of journalism at the State University of New York, Westbury. Emanuel helped put together the giant Exelon nuclear power company, and Axelrod handled the firm’s public relations, said Grossman.
