Foreign oil companies could by no means ignore the existing potentials in Iran’s oil industry, specially in the field of making joint ventures, an official from Iran’s oil industry said Saturday. Speaking to IRNA, Managing Director of the Petro Ziggurat Oil Company Rahim Hassan-Nejad said that foreign companies are to have a significant presence in Iran’s upcoming 16th international oil exhibition. The exhibition is to be held in Tehran from April 15-19 with the participation of some 1,390 domestic and foreign oil companies from 22 world nations.
Hassan-Nejad referred to the massive potentials existed for the foreign oil companies to make investment in Iran’s South and North Pars oil fields. He added that presence of foreign oil companies at this year’s exhibition showed a 22 percent growth comparing last year despite West’s new sanctions against Iran. Oil companies from Spain, Austria, Britain, Italy, Germany, Turkey, The Czech Republic, Denmark, Russia, France, the Netherlands, Norway, India, Singapore, Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Canada and Brazil are to attend the five-day exhibition.
