Journalist Ghassan Bin Jeddo confirmed on Saturday his resignation from al-Jazeera channel and his post as the Director of its office in Beirut declaring that he "won't come back from his decision."As Safir newspaper quoted reliable sources as saying: "Bin Jeddo refused to deny or confirm the news… he resigned days ago."His resignation was attributed to al-Jazeera's alleged abandonment of professional and objective reporting, as it became "an operation room for incitement and mobilization," sources said.

Another reason was its "provocative policy, which is unacceptable, particularly in light of the historical stage the region is passing through," they added. They stressed that his resignation was morally motivated, seeing as al-Jazeera highlighted the developments in Libya, Yemen, and Syria and not Bahrain.

Asked if the resignation was related to the policy the channel has adopted in covering Syrian developments, the source said: "It's an issue of principle and morality for him."As Safir remarked that after the 2005 assassination of the former Lebanese Prime Minist[er, Rafik Hariri, Bin Jeddo was banned from entering Syria for a year and a half because "he is an advocate of reform and freedom movements in Syria."
