Iranian and Venezuelan Foreign Ministers Ali Akbar Salehi and Nicolas Maduro in a phone conversation deplored the double-standard policies adopted by the western countries on the regional developments, and called for an end to the massacre of the Bahraini and Libyan people.Maduro, for his part, said that the western countries have adopted violent policies on the recent crises in the region and shown support for the suppression of the freedom-seeking people in Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen and Saudi Arabia as a strategy to control the oil resources and the wealth of the regional nations. Two months after the eruption of mass protests in Bahrain, the kingdom still kills the opposition, jailing hundreds of activists in a crackdown that has unveiled the Obama administration's support for dictators in the region.
