Awad added that "as Palestinians we were not part of the investigation, moreover Israel was controlling Awarta for the past 35 days since the attack happened, they entered every house in the village, they could have planted any evidence they want. We demand an international investigation of the Itamar killing."

According to the Israeli security and military sources two Palestinian teens from Awarta, Hakiem Awad, 17 , and Amjad Awad 18, using wire cutters and knifes, cut the high-tech security fence surrounding the settlement. They then jumped another fence before entering a house, 400 meters away from the fence and stole an M16 rifle, bullet proof vest and ammunition-magazine.Later the boys went into the Fogel family house fought with the mother and father, killing them both by stabbing them then shooting the mother. At this point the two teens left the Fogel house, but once in the street they noticed that they were not detected even with the sound of the fight and the gunshots. 

According to the Israeli secret police, Shin Bet, Amjad went back to the house entered the parents room and killed the three month old baby and left the scene fearing he had run out of time. At 11 PM, around two hours after the killing have taken place, Tamar Fogel, 12, returned home from a youth meeting and discovered the attack. Shin Bet story did not clarify how 10 year old Yoav and his brother Elad, 4, were killed.

[First of all the israeli claims are nonsense ill prove it...it is no secret that the settler villagers carry heavy firepower.from machine guns to otehr wepaons,alls settlements and its colonialist's have these,as everyone well knows,how likely is it two ''boys'' would storm into a settelrs house,without shooting first,rather going in to stab whole family first as oppose to shooting first,not knowing what weapons that settler family might bust out?seriously come on,this is common sense..israels bs stories again are absurd...if the boys supposedly ahd gun and knifes,wouldnt it be logical they would go in shooting so as not to expect settlers inside use superior firepower?no they chose to go stabbing first?then shoot after?ridicullous,...
