Iran has urged France to ship 50 tons of Iranian owned natural uranium that has been kept in that country since before the victory of Islamic Revolution in 1979.Iranian ambassador to the IAEA, Ali Asghar Soltanieh, has called on France to respect its international obligations under the Non-Proliferation Treaty by sending Iran’s uranium to its rightful owner. ‘Lausanne tribunal in France has approved that the 50 tons uranium belongs to Iran, then give it either to us or to Russia so that they can use it as fuel for Bushehr nuclear power plant,’ ISNA quoted the ambassador as saying.
