The Palestine Liberation Organization’s Executive Committee said Tuesday that Israel’s approval of new housing units in the settlements are proof it is taking advantage of the International community’s failure to push for a peace settlement to abort the two-state solution.It said in a statement that “this dangerous escalation is due to the failure of the quartet and the International community to stop Israel’s ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people and their land.”It added: “The region is headed towards a bloody conflict, with unpredictable outcome.”
