According to IRNA, Ali-Akbar Javanfekr in a meeting with the Indian Deputy Foreign Minister Ms Noropama Rao in the presence of the IRI Ambassador Seyyed Mahdi Nabizadeh exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional developments. Pointing to the important and strategic statuses of the two countries, he stressed the need for broadening and deepening comprehensive bilateral cooperation and relations and the importance of visit by the two countries’ political, economic and cultural delegations. 

The Islamic Republic of Iran President’s Press Advisor referring to the drastic regional developments in the Middle East, elaborated on Iran’s stands about them, expressing worries about the US biased approach towards them, including in dealing with the developments in Libya and those in Bahrain.  Pointing to the US-Zionist regime plots and hatched conspiracies against the regional nations, he said that high alertness of the entire regional governments was necessary, asking for increased consultations between Tehran and New Delhi respectively aimed at illumination of the regional nations’ minds. He also asked for broader cooperation between the two friend countries’ press and media as a necessity.
