The media secretariat of the Arab Tawhid Party indicated that "not one response has been heard so far concerning US Ambassador Maura Connelly's threats of brutal consequences against Lebanon". The statement criticized Connelly's behavior, for she acted as if Lebanon were her own.In a statement issued, the Arab Tawhid Party added, "We don't know how Connelly wants us to fund the tribunal if the legal institutions, namely constitutional institutions refused this fund; unless Connelly wants to suspend the constitutions and abolish the laws when it comes to the interests of her own country".




In conclusion, the party noted in its statement, "We expect the Foreign Minister to summon the [US] Ambassador, and reflect a strict denunciation, warning her after the threats he cited"."We call upon the government to expel her from Lebanon if she continues on this approach, for one day we see her threatening, another day visiting borders and the harbor, as if she were charged with guardianship over our country", the Arab Tawhid Party statement further read.
