They, who are whipping their people and who have dismissed a leader, just because he proposed a referendum. What kind of democracy is that?" Chavez wondered, while explaining the economic effects on Europe as a result of the capitalist crisis.He highlighted that Latin America has showed its democratic vocation, most of all in the last decade.Last week, World Bank Managing Director, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, said Pacific countries should be prepared because "everybody expects this weakening of the European economy is going to be quite long."Massive layoffs, privatization of state companies, rise on taxes and cuts in salaries are some of the measures that have been already implemented in Greece, France, Great Britain, Spain and Italy.
