On Monday, November 7^th, ADM James Stavridis was awarded the 29^th Annual Henry M. Jackson Distinguished Service Award from the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA) at the 2011 Henry M. Jackson Distinguished Service Award & Grateful Nation Award Dinner. JINSA is a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit think-tank focusing on issues of United States and Israel in national security. The Grateful Nation Award, established in 2003, is presented annually to six young heroes recognized for having distinguished themselves through superior conduct in the War on Terrorism. Honorees represent each of the five branches of the U.S. military and the U.S. Special Operations Command.
