Father of American Peace Activist Rachel Corrie who was murdered by Israeli forces in the occupied Palestinian territories voiced his strong protest at an Israeli court's investigation into the case. "The (Israeli) Army's Prosecutor General is most likely unqualified to conclude the case without further inquiries," Craig Corrie, the father of Rachel Corrie, said after the last court session in November. "Have the investigators even tried to study the contradictory remarks of their soldiers? Their highly evident contradictory remarks indicate well that sufficient investigations have not been made into this case," he added."The state is very interested in making sure the court doesn't think about why Rachel was there. She was in a civilian neighborhood, where there were homes and people living," Corrie observed. "There's an effort on the part of the state to treat this as a war-that's distorting. This is an occupation and there are different rules for occupation. My understanding of international law is that you can't be at war with the area you're occupying," Corrie continued.
