An Israeli soldier hurled a grenade late Wednesday night in the courtyard of the Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem. An Israeli patrol vehicle parked near the eastern wall of the mosque, Palestinian witnesses reported. Then, a soldier exited and threw an explosive grenade at a bush area in the courtyard and fled the scene towards the Mount of Olives. However, there was no report of injury or damage. In a related development, extremist Jewish groups have boosted presence outside of the Aqsa Mosque and roamed the mosque's courtyards under the protection of Israeli soldiers and police.
