Youth shot in the face with rubber bullet as clashes rage http://silwanic.net/?p=14988

Violent clashes took place between Israeli forces and Palestinian youth in Bir Ayyub district of Silwan this evening. Troops fired vast quantities of rubber[-coated steel] bullets at Palestinian youth in the village streets, with one 20 year old man shot directly in the face. Eyewitnesses stated that his lip sustained the worst injury. The victim was transferred to ‘Ein Kareem hospital for treatment. Confrontations spread to several other districts, reaching Al-Thouri neighborhood, adjacent to Silwan. Clashes continued for several hours.
