A senior Iranian military commander blamed Turkey for accepting to host a NATO missile shield, and said Ankara should account for its decision as it means that the Muslim country would use its maximum capacity to protect the Zionist regime. "Turkey should know that this action means using all its capacities for just protecting the Zionists, and it should account for this decision," Deputy Commander of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces for Cultural Affairs and Defense Publicity General Seyed Massoud Jazzayeri told the Arab language Alalam TV network on Saturday.

He said deployment of a missile shield in Turkey has originally been drawn into a plan in a move to save the Zionist regime of Israel. "Americans have serious concerns about protecting the existence of the usurper Israeli regime and they are striving to make use of all capacities and opportunities to save this regime, and deployment of a missile shield in Turkey can be one of such capacities," Jazzayeri said.
