'US anti-Iran allegations fabricated' http://english.irib.ir/voj/news/top-stories/item/80759-us-anti-iran-allegations-fabricated
An American scholar says that the latest allegations of Iran's involvement in a plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to Washington are "transparently fabricated." "It is a transparently fabricated event. Not only does Iran have no motive whatsoever but if Iran were to perpetrate such an act it would do so in a stealthy manner. It wouldn't rely on someone like a drug killer whose confidence could not be assured” James H. Fetzer, a philosopher and professor at the University of Minnesota told Press TV on Thursday.
Fetzer noted that the US allegations are intended to “distract attention from the [US] public uprisings, cover up blunders in relation with supplying large quantities of weapon to [Mexican] drug lords, and exacerbate tension in the Middle East."He argued that the recent anti-Iran plot has been developed by Israel supporters and neo-conservatives in the United States. On Tuesday, the US Justice Department accused Iran of involvement in a plot to assassinate Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Washington, Adel Al-Jubeir, with help from a suspected member of a Mexican drug cartel.
Bad film plot against Iran, says US writer http://english.irib.ir/voj/analyses/in-depth-analysis/item/80752-bad-film-plot-against-iran-says-us-writer
US accusations against Iran not only sounds like a Hollywood script but is a “bad film plot, entirely baseless on their face,” according to American journalist and writer Stephen Lendman.“No country, including Iran, would have anything to gain from a terror attack on US soil and everything to lose. The notion that Iran planned one is preposterous,” Lendman said in an interview with IRNA.He said that there had been around 200 cases of “falsely targeted Muslim Americans entrapped and victimized by FBI stings using well paid informants to lie,” who were often convicted felons cooperating for leniency.
US accusations of an alleged Iranian plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador in Washington were described by FBI director Robert Mueller as a “Hollywood script,” which involved a sting operation, Mexican drug cartels and government informants. The American journalist said that of around 200 cases, “no attack ever happened. All alleged ones were supposedly discovered and foiled.”“It defies the imagination that no one post-9/11 managed to succeed. It suggests every plot charged was bogus,” he suggested.Of the 9/11 attacks, Lendman said that he supported the truth campaign, believing it was “an act of state terrorism committed by Washington perhaps with Israel's Mossad to justify wars with Afghanistan and Iraq.”
