FASCIST COLOMBIAN GOV TO SEAL AGREEMENT WITH NATO IN BRUSSELS

Defense Minister Juan Carlos Pinzón will travel Sunday to Belgium where he is scheduled to sign Tuesday its first cooperation agreement with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
According to El Tiempo newspaper, the two-page document will be signed by Pinzon and NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, and will be broadened with a second chapter in the next two months.The text will originally be named Cooperation and Defense Agreement, and besides exchanging secret information with the 26-member alliance, "the country seeks to export its expertise in fighting terrorism, kidnapping, extortion and transnational crime," says the source.According to the newspaper that says to base its report on consulting high ranking anonymous sources, the country also hopes to promote the Colombian public force’s "international experience" in member countries of the Alliance or "its areas of influence."This will be the first official agreement with NATO, "which now has battle fronts opened in Afghanistan and Iraq, after the Colombian Air Force held drills in May with NATO planes in Canada."The agreement will have to be ratified in Congress and subject to discussion by the Constitutional Court.The Colombian government’s announcement in early June of its decision to start rapprochements with NATO, including its hope to join the Alliance, sparked strong criticism in the country and in the region from international analysts and civilian and political organizations.
