Hegemonic interests that are trying to stop the emergence of new leaders and liberation movements persist in Latin American , denounced Bolivian President Evo Morales.In his participation during the ceremonies for the 131st anniversary of the Colorado regiment in Bolivia, the leader referred to the existence of oligarchies that are seeking to destroy democracies in this continent and do not allow the development of peoples with their own natural resources.
In that sense he referred to the coup d'etat perpetrated by the US imperialism two years ago against the government of Honduran president Manuel Zelaya.Morales took advantage of the occasion to highlight the meaning of Zelaya's return to his country thanks to the efforts of presidents like Venezuela's Hugo Chavez.
He remarked that he expects his return will be accomplished with due respect to all his rights.In light of the existing situation, the leader insisted on the importance of the defense of the homeland, which he considered a constitutional right.The Colorado regiment in Bolivia is the unit of presidential escorts whose mission it is to undertake the security of the government palace and the presidential residence. --
