Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi played down Saudi Arabia's recent war rhetoric and threats against Tehran, stressing that not only Riyadh but also its American masters would never dare to make such a dangerous mistake."The Saudi regime lacks the capability and ability to pose a (real) threat to us, and it should thus be said that the Saudi regime will never find the courage to pose a military threat to Iran," Vahidi told FNA on Sunday.
He also reiterated that "even the United States is not capable of materializing its threats against Iran, let alone the others".Elsewhere, Vahidi blasted the recent claims raised by the Saudi officials and the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) about Iran's interference in Bahrain's internal affairs, and said, "A simple glance reveals which country has deployed its forces in Bahrain and is meddling in its affairs."
