UK Aid to Somalia Fallen into Hands of al-Qaeda http://english.alahednews.com.lb/essaydetails.php?eid=23988&cid=516#.UgtebX_hfbo
Amid harsh cuts in the United Kingdom from the economic crisis, almost half a million pounds of aid and equipment has fallen into the hands of al-Qaeda, the Department for International Development admitted. Al-Qaeda's Somali franchise, al-Shabaab, has confiscated "humanitarian aid and supplies" worth around £480,000 from DfID contractors in multiple incidents over at least three months.Sir Gerald Howarth, a British conservative MP said, "There is huge public concern at the relentless increase in overseas aid. Incidents like this, where British taxpayers' money is diverted into people fighting against us, are not acceptable."
[ed notes:bs concern, after all were they truly concern they would stop propping up Qatar who finances them, but wont, hasnt, and will not!!!
"It is surprising (not to me it isn't) that no action was taken, which suggests that, at best, DfID was asleep to the loss of its property and, at worst, that its local partners were colluding with the terrorists," an aid industry expert told the British daily The Telegraph. This comes as the United Kingdom along with the European Union intend to supply arms to the foreign armed terrorist groups fighting against the Syrian government, (openly that is ,because covertlythey been doing it since day one, thmselves and thru their gcc allies) adding risks that the military aid might slip into hands of extremist groups such as al-Nusra Front.
