From the Lebanon-Palestine border, Franklin Lamb gives a poignant testimony of the both majestic and tragic events which marked the commemoration of the Nakba Day on 15 May. Thousands of young Palestinians from Lebanon, whose entire lives have been confined to squalid refugee camps, peacefully amassed on the border and sighted their occupied homeland for the first time. Braving Israeli gunfire, they sent the world a message that they are determined to return to their land no matter the sacrifices required.
