Iran, key player in finding paths towards peace: Indian Lawmaker http://www.irna.ir/ENNewsShow.aspx?NID=30397035&SRCH=1

The Islamic Republic of Iran is a key player in many of the important issues facing the global community and continues to find paths toward lasting peace for the various and complex issues of the region, an Indian Lawmaker said Sunday in New Delhi.Denouncing the US’s rigidity against Iran, Hasan Ahmed told IRNA on the sideline of a local program that if the US 'has real intention to establish peace, particularly in the region, it should use Iran’s influence instead isolating it.

'The Persian Gulf nation can play a major role in finding paths towards lasting peace.'Despite the US-led western powers' proxy propaganda war against Iran, the country continued to pursue its policy to establish peace in the region in particular and around the globe in general, said the Indian politician.Referring to the recent two-day International Conference on Global Alliance against Terrorism for a Just Peace, held in Tehran, Hasan Ahmed said:

“Iran’s initiative was most successful as over 100 foreign experts not only attended the summitb but they in one voice also condemned any instrumental, selective, and unilateral approach as well as abuse of power and violation of territorial integrity, of which US is the Master.”Touching upon the situation in Bahrain, he condemned the brutalities faced by the protesters and urged the government of Bahrain to exercise restraint. He also urged the Bahraini government to avoid responding people's non-violent and legitimate protests with violation. Hasan Ahmed also urged the United Nations to take action against the illegal invasion of foreign forces in Bahrain.
