A renowned retired Lebanese General cautioned on Wednesday that the US is seeking to deceive the Egyptian officials by increasing its financial aids to the country. "The US government is attempting to deceive the Egyptians through financial aids in a bid to bring its affiliates to power and also to prevent threats to the Zionist regime's security," Amin Hatit told FNA. 

He also reiterated that the US is concerned about future events in Egypt, and said Washington fears that if the Egyptian people take power in their hand, they may decide to annul the Camp David agreement.Hatit said the US also seeks to satisfy the Zionist regime and help it attain its ominous goals.

"Such a policy has always been pursued by the US and the change of presidents and ruling parties in Washington does not affect the implementation of this policy." Obama is slated to offer Egypt $1 billion in aid, at Cairo's request, by dropping former debts and providing incentives and guarantees for investments in work places and developing trade with the European Union.
