A prominent Bahraini dissident said while resistance movements in Middle East seek to free their lands from occupiers, the US does not desire to see them independent and for the same reason it accuses them of terrorism.Saeed Shehabi was speaking to Qudsna when asked why the US and western countries have kept silence towards the recent Israeli terrorist actions.

A member of Bahraini Ahrar party, Shehabi said another motivation for the US to accuse the movements of terrorism was the Islamic origin and mottoes of those movements.The Bahraini dissident deplored that the Bahraini regime’s repression of the protests in the country were not covered in the Western media, adding that the wronged Bahraini nation has always been a target of the US hostile treatment and for the same reason, the al Khalifa and al Saud regimes are committing terrorism against the nation.

He noted that any nation which threatens the western interests would be treated with the same repression.Shehabi said educated individuals in Islamic community must be vigilant not to fall the trap of west and avoid letting the west to sow religious or sectarian discord among them.He noted that the recent developments in Egypt where Christian churches were attacked by some individuals claiming to be Muslims was a case of discord, arranged by the west. “No committed Muslim would commit such acts,” he said.
